A note from the creator

I built ShopCats to add more joy into the world.

That feeling when you meet a cat for the first time and they're ready to give you love: a head butt, a brush up against your leg, the scratch you give their chin. The smile it brings to your face is so big you can feel it pulling against your cheeks.

I want to create more of those moments, for more people, more often, all around the world. That's why I built ShopCats.

I hope that using ShopCats brings joy to your life.

Our Story

When Nikki lived in an apartment building that didn‘t allow cats, she regularly visited her favorite shop cats in San Francisco –– like Owen at Aardvark Books, Schlitz at Minimal, Bella at Whole Foods, and Cammy at Flora Grubb. Hanging out with these cats was how she got her “cat fix”. After Nikki and David joked that there should be a way to find all the shop cats in the world, ShopCats was born.
